As of version 2.0.0.157, Viinex supports video acquisition from raw sources, for now via Windows-only DirectShow API. It’s possible to grab video from an USB camera or a video capture card whose driver implements DirectShow interface. Viinex also supports rendering an overlay over the raw video, including images and HTML, with ability to change overlay content in the runtime; and encoding of the resulting data into a H264 video stream. After video is encoded, it is suitable for use in all scenarios previously available for video streams from IP cameras.
